Governance Team Member - Mr Kit Howden

Kit Howden is a member of the governance team of New Zealand Aotearoa Amnesty International with special interest in voluntary action, and connecting human rights and the environment. He has been a long time member of the central Auckland Group. Kit has a background in park management and after 30 years in local government he now works in the voluntary sector.

Kit is active on two ecological restoration projects in Auckland City and chairs the Friends of Maungawhau.  He is on the trust board of Volunteering Auckland, on the committee of Volcanic Cones Society and assists other NGOs such as Walk Auckland. He also is a member of VSA having spent a year volunteering in Vietnam in Cat Tien National Park.
