Contributing to Amnesty International

Amnesty International is a global movement of 2.2 million people who contribute what they can to international campaigning against some of the most serious human rights violations, and the promotion of human rights in general.

Through the New Zealand section of Amnesty International 6,000 New Zealanders give money, expertise and time to Amnesty International's work against political imprisonment, torture and killings, and the promotion of human rights in general.

You can support our research and campaigning by contributing funds to Amnesty International's work. We are financed solely by donations from our membership and the public. To preserve our independence we do not accept funds from governments.

You can help build a world that respects basic human rights by becoming a member of Amnesty International. In addition to making a regular financial contribution you can participate in the international campaigning that helps prevent human rights violations.
