Local & Regional Teams
As a membership-led movement, individual members play a vital role in Amnesty International.
Contributing your time makes a real difference to our ability to save lives and promote human rights.
Within communities and on campuses nationwide, members within regional, local teams and action groups take action locally to impact human rights globally.
These teams are made up of members living or working in the same area or region and they are at the forefront of our campaigning against injustice. Teams are made up of people who wish to use their freedom to protect the freedoms of others. Key attributes required are energy, enthusiasm and a desire to work with other like-minded souls. Regional teams tend to meet fortnightly, while local groups meet monthly.
