May 26: Tauranga Moana group take action on human right abuses in Indonesia

The Tauranga Moana group invites you to a public screening of the film “Green Death of the Forests”.

This short film encourages discussion around the state of affairs in Indonesia as the palm oil plantations raises a number of rights issues.

Amnesty International is co-presenting  at a panel discussion following the screening,

May 28: Death and the Maiden

Newmarket Stage Company presents...

Death and the Maiden

… In association with Amnesty International.

This is a modern classic, a thriller of extraordinary power that embodies themes of torture and is about a former political prisoner who has been abused by her captors.

The production is directed by John Callen and stars New Zealand arts laureate George Henare with Tatiana Hotere and Edwin Wright.

We’re committed to  ending grave human rights abuses through our activism and would love you to join us.

Please bring your own writing materials (either paper or electronic) . We’ll provide the cases and knowledge of best practice letter writing skills we’re keen to share.
