What happened last year?

See what some of our groups did last year for the theme “Make some noise for the students of Myanmar”

Sacred Heart Girls' College, New Plymouth, made some noise for the students of Myanmar in 2010 by holding a school scream; check out the Youtube clip:

Students at Otago Girls' High School held a fantastically successful Freedom Challenge, They hosted Burmese speaker and former Prisoner of Conscience Aung Khaing Min at their school and student co-ordinator Alena Plaksina spoke to Otago’s regional television station Channel 9....

Students at Craighead Diocesan School (Timaru) managed to collect over 120 signatures on a 10m long banner.

"We loved taking part in Freedom Challenge. It was especially interesting, people have told me, to learn about an issue in a country which most students knew very little, if anything, about." Emily Watson, Student Co-ordinator.

Tauranga Girls' had an action-packed Freedom Challenge. They kicked off the week with 'Yellow Tuesday' where they plastered the school in yellow. Other events occurred throughout the weekincluding translating I ♥ Human Rights into a variety of languages and making  postcards of the translations.
