Human Rights Defender Award

Join us for the presentation of the 2012 Human Rights Defender Award.

The award will be presented to one outstanding human rights defender at an event to be held in the offices of the Human Rights Commission on the evening of Saturday 12th May, from 6.30pm to 8pm

The recipient will be presented with the Human Rights Defender Award medallion, created by Christchurch artist Michael Reed.

Previous winners include military regime critic Shamima Ali of the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre and former Myanmar prisoner of conscience and human rights activist Naing Ko Ko.

Dress Code for the evening: Casual Smart
When: Saturday 12th May 2012 @ 6.30pm
Where: Human Rights Commission, Level 3, 21 Queen Street, Auckland.
