Amnesty's Education Network

We are currently in the early stages of creating Amnesty's Education Network, which will seek to support teachers and students wanting to learn about human rights.

While we offer resources from other Amnesty International sections worldwide, we are also seeking funding to create New Zealand-specific material and resources for schools. In the meantime, the resources outlined in these pages offer teachers exercises and ideas which can easily be adapted to a New Zealand classroom.

If you are a teacher who would like to join Amnesty's Education Network once it is launched, please email your expression of interest to Activism Support Manager Margaret Taylor, margaret.taylor@amnesty.org.nz

If you are a teacher who has created New Zealand curriculum-specific human rights resources, and are happy for us to feature those resources, please get in touch with us (at the above email address) so that we can share these resources with others who are keen to teach human rights.

We are committed to advocating the human rights principles and progressive value system outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
