Join the Youth Network

From standing in front of tanks in Tiananmen Square to sitting at lunch counters in Greensboro, North Carolina during the civil rights movement of the 1960’s, student activists have historically been at the frontline of the human rights movement.

Amnesty International offers students a way to join the movement for social justice, learn more about global issues, and educate others about human rights.

Our student groups at high school, university and within youth groups  take action  to defend and protect human rights. These groups are the face of Amnesty within their school,  university and wider community. They build support and pressure on the burning human rights issue of the day.

Our student groups also participate in our annual human rights Freedom Challenge - during Amnesty’s public action Freedom Week.
