Amnesty NZ Announces New Appointments
Amnesty International in New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Campaigns & Advocacy Director, Rebecca Emery. She joins us from Oxfam Ireland and has a very strong campaigns, media and communications background. She graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Law before becoming a Barrister & Solicitor in Auckland. Rebecca has a Masters in International Development Studies, with a particular interest in China’s human rights and democratic agenda, and post-graduate qualifications in journalism, media communications and PR. Rebecca will be starting her new role in September.
We are also pleased to announce the appointment of a new Fundraising Manager, Sam Healey-Cunningham. Sam has a wealth of experience and knowledge of Amnesty International. He brings a very strong sales and marketing background, which will be of enormous value to us as we grow and develop in the years ahead.
