Annual Meeting 2011 Wrap Up

Thanks to everyone who turned out for the 2011 Annual Meeting in Wellington on Saturday 28th May! It was wonderful to see so many of you there especially as we were celebrating our 50th birthday.
We've now had confirmation that next year's annual meeting is going to be on 12th and 13th of May 2012 in Auckland! The Annual Meeting will be held on 12 May, with an Activism Workshop the following day. Watch this space for more info.
We are delighted that so many of you came along to see the lighting up of Wellington Town Hall and took part in the candle-lit march, you can see the photo’s from the meeting and march below.
You are a great team of people without whom we wouldn’t achieve half of what we do and we appreciate all of the time and effort put in by so many of you to take action and raise awareness of Amnesty and the work that we do. Thank you.
Three Dove Awards were presented on the weekend, the awards are given in recognition of the outstanding work of either individuals or teams; the Team Award was won by Wellington Regional Team (WRT), the Individual Award went to Joanne Looyen of WRT & Wadestown Local Group and the Youth Award was given to Tauranga Girls College.
