Erkin Musaev, a former Uzbekistani government official and UN employee, who was tortured and then wrongly imprisoned by the authorities, has written a letter of thanks to Amnesty International following his early release from prison last week
Four-year-old Carlos and 16-year-old Michael along with their mothers, Lorena and Maribel, were ordered released from Berks County Residential Center in Pennsylvania by an immigration judge after nearly 700 days in detention.
Amnesty supporters wrote an amazing 4,660,774 letters, emails, tweets and much more. Among those messages were words of support that made all the difference to the many whose rights we were writing for.

The release of Ibrahimn Halawa is a resounding victory. Over the last four years, thousands of people stood in solidarity to free Ibrahim. Almost 30,000 people took action calling for his immediate and unconditional release.
