Strategic Partnerships Officer
Would you like an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and passionate Nobel Peace Prize winning organisation based in Auckland and be part of shaping human rights?
Amnesty International is a global movement for human rights. When injustice happens to one person, it matters to us all. We bring torturers to justice, change oppressive laws and free people around the world jailed for voicing their opinions.
We are a small team of inspired and fun people. We are looking for someone passionate about assisting our contribution to human rights who will help streamline donor engagement for our major giving, trust and foundations, and bequest fundraising programmes. If this sounds like you then read on.
This role is integral to confirm the direction of our strategic focus and fundraising strategy. You will support our Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop, implement and review systems and processes to engage and recruit major donors, and bequestors in order to achieve our 2021 fundraising objectives. In addition to organising donor meetings and contacting our amazing donors, you will also undertake research and assist with development of proposals for donor relationships and grant funding.
What we are looking for:
- A star communicator (both written and verbal) with exceptional story telling skills.
- Someone who thrives on working independently and shows initiative.
- Proven research and evaluation skills and the ability to set up processes and test them.
- Highly organised and strong attention to detail
- Fantastic interpersonal skills
- Ideally, has knowledge of human rights and international relations.
This is a part-time, fixed term role until 17 December 2021 for 20 hours per week. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience, between $50,000 to $60,000 per year full-time equivalent.
We value our people and their work life balance and look forward to talking with you about what flexible working we offer (including the option to work some hours from home) that may fit in with your personal commitments.
