Twitter is used by hundreds of millions of women around the world to debate, network and share information with each other. Twitter cna be a powerful tool for women to connect and express themselves. But for many women it is also a place where violence and abuse against them flourishes, often wiht little accountability.
#ToxicTwitter: Violence and abuse against women online, aims to show that Twitter is failing to respect the human rights of women because of its inadequate and ineffective response to violence and abuse. It includes a series of concrete recommendations for how Twitter can become a safer place for women.
